The UA7824CKCS is a single channel fixed output positive linear voltage regulator in 3 pin TO-220 package. This three terminal regulator is designed for wide range of applications including on-card regulation for elimination of noise and distribution problems associated with single point regulation. The internal current limiting and thermal shutdown of this regulator essentially make this device immune to overload. In addition to use as fixed voltage regulator, it can also be used with external components to obtain adjustable output voltages and currents. The UA7824 is used as power pass element in precision regulators.
