The M24C02-WMN6P is a 2Kbit (256 x 8bit) serial I2C bus EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Memory) in 8 pin SOIC package. The device supports I2C protocol. Any device that sends data on to the bus is defined as transmitter and any device that reads data as receiver. The device that controls data transfer is known as bus master and other as slave device. Data transfer can only be initiated by bus master which will also provide serial clock for synchronization. The M24C02-WMN6P device is always a slave in all communications.
