The NF series from Panasonic are stacked coin type electric double layer capacitors. These capacitors are known as "Gold Capacitors" that provides highest volumetric efficiency of all capacitor technologies. They are often compared to secondary batteries. Unlike batteries, gold capacitors do not rely on a chemical reaction to produce electric current but they are storage cells that utilize the absorption/release reaction of ions. Gold capacitors have no limit to the number of charge and discharge cycles they can sustain and do not need a charging circuit. These capacitors are mainly used in memory back-up for video and audio equipments, cameras, telephone, printers, data terminals, rice cookers and intelligent remote controls.
High capacitance values ranging from 0.22F to 1.5F
