The DHSB 1 is a 15mm red sealed heat shrink Butt Splice with tin plated tubular copper terminal, high density PE insulation and a clear polyolefin sleeve. This splices provides a tough and long lasting environmental seal against immersion in solvents, oils, fluids and salt water. The wire insulation should be stripped to 8mm and then crimped into the ends of the butt splice. Hot air should then be applied to the sleeve until the tubing has shrunk to the cable size and the adhesive flows from the end of the splice, giving a fully sealed joint and additional strain relief. The DHSB series butt splice terminal accepts 22 to 18AWG wire gauge.
