The MA240017 is a PIC24F16KA102 plug in module for Explorer 16 development board. The PIC24F16KA102 is a 16bit microcontroller featuring nanoWatt XLP for eXtreme low power consumption. This plug in module is small circuit board used with the Explorer 16 board (DM240001) to evaluate PIC24F16KA102 microcontroller. This 100 pin plug in module comes fitted with a PIC24F16KA102 device in a 28 pin SOIC package. This plug into the main processor socket of the development board so that different microcontrollers can be used for prototyping, demonstration or development quickly and easily. The MCP23S17 28 pin port expander is used in PIC24F16KA102 PIM to perform all of the base functions on the 100 pin Explorer 16 board.
