MA180014 is a processor PIM that includes a 44 pin PIC18LF45J10 MCU sample. LF parts have voltage regulator disabled. Its an accessory to the PICDEM HPC Explorer Demo board that allows users to easily experiment with the PIC18LF45J10 on the demo board. The PIM takes the place of the on board PIC18F8722 device, and changes the output of the voltage regulator on the board to the proper voltage level for these parts. This enables users to quickly evaluate the new PIC18FJ Flash devices, without having to buy a completely new demo board. Processor Plug-In Modules are small circuit boards to be used with the various Development Boards to evaluate various MCU families. These plug into the main processor socket of the Development Boards so that different microcontrollers can be used for prototyping, demonstration or development quickly and easily.
