The EVB-LAN9252-PICTAIL from Microchip is a LAN9252 PICTail Plus for Explorer 16 platform. EVB-LAN9252-PICtail add-on board is used for evaluating Microchip Technology's LAN9252, a 2/3-port EtherCAT slave controller with dual integrated Ethernet PHYs. The EtherCAT PICtail daughter board provides a cost effective method of evaluating and developing EtherCAT slave applications. The board is designed for flexibility and can be plugged into a wide selection of demonstration boards, including Explorer 16 Development Board (DM240001) when using the PIC32MX plug-in module (MA320003). The development board is populated with the LAN9252 EtherCAT slave controller which interfaces to dual RJ-45 connectors. Power is supplied as +5V and +3.3V to the board via the PICtail Plus interface from the Explorer 16 Development Board. LAN9252 has an internal 1.2V regulator which supplies power to the internal core logic.
