The DM182015-1 is a wireless development kit for MRF24J40 an IEEE 802.15.4 standard compliant 2.4GHz RF transceiver. It integrates the PHY and MAC functionality in a single chip solution. The MRF24J40 creates a low cost, low power, low data rate (250kbps or 625kbps) wireless personal area network device. The MRF24J40 interfaces to many popular Microchip PIC18 XLP microcontroller family. The kit includes complete hardware needed to rapidly prototype wireless applications. The demonstration kit is pre programmed with MiWi protocol stack and you can find the demo instructions in the user's guide. To learn more about MiWi wireless protocol. The PIC18 demonstration board is equipped with a 28 pin PICtail connector to interface with wireless transceiver PICtail daughter boards such as MRF24J40MA, MRF89XAM8A and MRF49XA. Developers can reprogram or modify the PIC18 MCU flash memory and develop and debug application code all on the same platform.
