The AC183026 is a metal over cap accessory kit. provides an easy way to evaluate Microchip unique technology, when used in conjunction with the mTouch Cap Touch Eval Kit DM183026-2. The metal over cap touch system uses a conductive target, suspended over the capacitive touch sensors, to form the second plate of the capacitor. When a user applies a downward pressure on the target, the resulting deformation of the target moves it closer to the capacitive sensor. The change in spacing produces a change in capacitance which is then measured by a microcontroller.
