NET-SSLX-000000-P-P1-PRODLINE is a uC/SSL Secure Socket Layer Protocol module with product line license. It is an add on application layer protocol to uC/TCP-IP. The SSL is an industry standard for secure method of transferring files. SSL is a layer between the application and socket layers. It is a session layer protocol that encrypts data flowing between the application and the TCP/IP stack, ensuring high-level security over an IP network. SSL is based on standard encryption methods using private and public keys provided by a Certification Authority by the issuance of a SSL Certificate. The uc/SSL network security layer is responsible of securing the sockets and applying the security strategy over typical socket programming functions.
