The MAX9714ETJ+ is a 6W, filterless, spread spectrum stereo class D amplifier in 32 pin TQFN package. It provides class AB amplifier performance with Class D efficiency, conserving board space and eliminating need for a bulky heatsink. Using a class D architecture device delivers up to 6W while offering greater than 85% efficiency. Proprietary and protected modulation and switching schemes render traditional class D output filter unnecessary. It offers two modulation schemes, a fixed frequency mode (FFM) and a spread spectrum mode (SSM) that reduces EMI-radiated emissions due to modulation frequency. The device utilizes a fully differential architecture, a full bridged output and comprehensive click and pop suppression. It is used in LCD monitors, LCD TVs, desktop PCs, LCD projectors, high end notebook and hands free car phone adaptors.
