The MAX9117EXK+T is a nanopower, beyond the rails comparator with reference in 5 pin SC-70 package. This device operates down to 1.6V. It has onboard 1.252V ±1.75% reference and draws an ultra-low supply current of only 600nA. These features make the MAX9117 comparator ideal for all 2 cell battery monitoring/management applications. The unique design of output stage limits supply current surges while switching, virtually eliminating the supply glitches typical of many other comparators. This design also minimizes overall power consumption under dynamic conditions. The MAX9117 has push-pull output stage that sinks and sources current. Large internal output drivers allow rail to rail output swing with loads up to 5mA. It is used in ultra low power systems, threshold detectors/discriminators, sensing at ground or supply line, telemetry and remote systems.
