The MAX807NEWE+ is a microprocessor (μP) supervisory circuit with ±1.5% reset accuracy in 16 pin WSOIC package. It provides power supply monitoring, back-up battery switchover and program execution watchdog functions in μP systems. This device reduces complexity and number of components needed to monitor power supply and battery control functions in μP systems. A 70μA supply current makes the MAX807N ideal for use in battery powered equipment while 2ns chip enable propagation delay and 250mA output current capability (20mA in battery-backup mode) make it suitable for larger and higher performance equipment. It has active-high, active-low push-pull reset output. The active-low RESET output is asserted during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions (needs to be in the correct state for VCC down to 1V). The MAX807N is used in back-up battery switchover for CMOS RAM, real time clocks, computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, μPs or other low power logic applications.
