The MAX7427CUA+ is a 5th order, low pass, elliptic, switched capacitor filter (SCF) in 8 pin μMAX package. It has a sharp roll-off with good stop band rejection and operates with a 100:1 clock to corner frequency ratio. The device emulate a passive network using switched capacitor integrators with summing and scaling. The passive network may be synthesized using CAD programs or may be found in many filter books. It draw only 0.8mA of supply current and allow corner frequencies from 1Hz to 12KHz, making device ideal for low power post-DAC filtering and anti-aliasing applications. It can be put into a low power mode, reducing supply current to 0.2μA. Device features two clocking options, self-clocking (through the use of an external capacitor) or external clocking for tighter cut-off-frequency control. An offset-adjust pin allows for adjustment of the DC output level. It is used in ADC anti-aliasing, post-DAC filtering, CT2 base stations and speech processing.
