The MAX735ESA+ is a -5V, negative output, inverting, current mode PWM DC to DC converter in 8 pin NSOIC package. This CMOS inverting switch mode regulator has internal power MOSFET. It operates from 4V to 6.2V input and 200mA output current is provided for inputs greater than 4.5V. The quiescent supply current is typically 1.6mA and shutdown mode reduces this to 10μA. These power conserving features along with high efficiency and application circuits that lend themselves to miniaturization make the device idle for broad range of on-card applications. It employs high performance current mode pulse width modulation (PWM) control scheme to provide tight output voltage regulation and low subhormonic noise. The regulator is production tested in actual applications circuits and output accuracy is ±5% over all specified condition of line, load and temperature. It is used in board level Dc to DC conversion, battery powered equipment and computer peripherals.
