The MAX6778XK+T is a low power, 1% accurate battery monitor in 5 pin SC-70 package. This low power device is ideal for monitoring single lithium-ion (Li+) cells or multicell alkaline/NiCd/NiMH power sources. It offers single low battery output with external inputs for the rising and falling thresholds allowing external hysteresis control. Hysteresis eliminates the output chatter some times which are associated with battery voltage monitors due to input voltage noise or battery terminal voltage recovery after load removal. It has an active-low output that asserts when the input falls below a set voltage. The MAX6778 single channel device is available with open-drain outputs. It is used in battery powered systems.
Supply voltage range is 1.2V to 5.5V at TA = -40°C to +85°C
