The MAX5741AUB+ is a 10bit, quad, voltage-output digital to analogue converter (DAC) with serial interface in 10 pin μMAX package. Each DAC employs a resistor word string architecture that converts a 10bit digital input word to an equivalent analogue output voltage proportional to the applied reference voltage. It shares one reference input (REF) between all four DACs. It includes rail to rail output buffer amplifiers for each DAC and input logic for simple microprocessor (μP) and CMOS interfaces. The reference input accepts a voltage range from 0 to VDD. The 229μA supply current accommodates low power and low voltage applications. In power-down the reference input is high impedance, further reducing system's total power consumption. It is used in automatic tuning, gain and offset adjustment, power amplifier control, process control I/O boards and VCO control.
