The MAX5705BAUB+ is an ultra small, single channel, 12bit buffered output voltage DAC with internal reference and SPI interface in 10 pin μMAX package. This DAC include output buffers and a selectable internal reference 2.048V, 2.5V or 4.096V voltages. A precision external reference input allows rail to rail operation and a 100Kohm load to an external reference. It has a 50MHz, 3-wire SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE/DSP compatible serial interface. On power-up, the device reset the DAC outputs to zero providing additional safety for applications that drive valves or other transducers which need to be off on power-up. The internal reference is initially powered down to allow use of an external reference. Typical applications include programmable voltage and current sources, gain and offset adjustment, automatic tuning and optical control, power amplifier control and biasing, process control and servo loops, data acquisition.
