The MAX5302CUA+ is a low cost, low power, 12bit voltage output DAC with serial interface in 8 pin μMAX package. It operates from single +5V supply and draws less than 280μA of supply current. The output amplifier's inverting input is available to user allowing specific gain configurations, remote sensing and high output current capability. This makes the MAX5302 ideal for a wide range of applications including automatic test equipment, digital offset and gain adjustment, motion control and microprocessor controlled systems. The device also includes software shutdown and power-on reset. The serial interface is SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE compatible. The DAC has a double buffered input organized as an input register followed by DAC register. The DAC register can be updated independently or simultaneously with input register. All logic inputs are TTL/CMOS logic compatible and buffered with schmitt triggers to allow direct interfacing to optocouplers.
