The MAX507BCNG+ is a voltage output, 12bit digital to analogue converter (DAC) with internal reference in 24 pin DIP package. This DAC's output voltage has same polarity as reference, the basic circuit consists of a laser trimmed, thin-film, R-2R resistor array with NMOS switches. The double buffered logic inputs interface easily to μPs, data is transferred into input register either from a 12bit wide data bus or 16bit μPs. All logic signals are level triggered, TTL and CMOS compatible. Interface timing specifications insure compatibility with all common μPs. DAC is specified & tested for both dual & single supply operation. Usable supplies range from single +12V to dual ±15V. On-board gain-setting resistors allow three output-voltage ranges, 0V to +5V and 0V to +10V can be generated when using either single or dual supplies. With dual supplies, ±5V is also available.
