The MAX349EWN+ is a serially controlled, low voltage, 8-channel multiplexer in 18 pin WSOIC package. This device conducts equally well in either direction, on-resistance (100R max) is matched between switches to 16ohm (max) and is flat (10 ohm max) over the specified signal range. This CMOS device can operate continuously with dual power supplies or a single supply and each mux can handle rail to rail analogue signals. The off-leakage current is only 0.1nA at +25°C or 5nA at +85°C. This mux is unusual in that any, all or none of the input channels can be directed to the output. All switches are bidirectional, so inputs and outputs are interchangeable. When multiple inputs are connected to an output, they are also connected to one another and separated from each other only by the on-resistance of two switches. It require eight bits of serial data to set all eight switches and mainly used in avionics, ATE equipment and serial data acquisition systems.
