The MAX113CAG+ is a +3V, 4-channel, 8bit analogue to digital converter (ADC) with 1μA power down mode in 24 pin SSOP package. This microprocessor compatible ADC operates from single +3V supply and uses half flash technique to achieve 1.8μs conversion time and 400Ksps conversion rate. A power down pin (active-low PWRDN) reduces current consumption to 1μA. The device returns from power down mode to normal operating mode in less than 900ns, it allows large supply current reductions in burst mode applications. The MAX113 includes a track/hold which enables the ADC to digitize fast analogue signals. Microprocessor (μP) interfaces are simplified because ADC can appear as a memory location or I/O port without external interface logic. The data outputs use latched, three state buffer circuit for direct connection to an 8bit parallel μP data bus or system input port. The device input/reference configuration enables ratiometric operation. It is used in battery powered systems.
