The DS1831S+ is a multisupply Micromonitor chip in 16 pin NSOIC package. The DS1831 multisupply monitor and reset monitors up to four voltages such as 5V supply, 3.3V supply (or 3V) and two additional user configurable voltages respectively. The DS1831 provides the functions of detecting out of tolerance conditions on a 3.3V (or 3V) and 5V power supply and warning a processor-based system of impending power failure. DS1831 power for internal operation comes from the higher voltage level of the 3.3V input or the 5V input. One of these inputs must be greater than 1V for device operation.
Supply voltage range is 1V to 5.5V
Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
Internal power is drawn from higher of either the IN5V input or the IN3.3V input
IN5V trip point (TOL5V = IN5V) is 4.63V, (TOL5V = GND) is 4.38V, (TOL5V = Float) is 4.15V
IN3.3V trip point (TOL3.3V = IN3.3V) is 3.06V, (TOL3.3V = GND) is 2.88V, (TOL3.3V = Float) is 2.55V
Output current is +10mA at 0.4V
Operating current is 80μA at 5.5V
Input capacitance is 5pF and output capacitance is 7pF
Excellent for systems designed to operate with multiple power supplies
