The DS1705ESA+ is a 5V MicroMonitor in 8 pin NSOIC package. It monitors three vital conditions for microprocessor such as power supply, software execution and external override. A precision temperature compensated reference & comparator circuit monitor status of VCC at device and at an upstream point for maximum protection. A non maskable interrupt is generated when sense input detects an out of tolerance condition. As voltage at device degrades, an internal power-fail signal forces reset to an active state. The reset signal is kept in active state for a minimum of 130ms when VCC returns to in-tolerance condition to allow power supply and processor to stabilize. The second function of DS1705 is pushbutton reset control. It debounces pushbutton input and provides an active reset pulse width of 130ms minimum. The third function is watchdog timer. It has an internal timer that forces WDS output signal to active state if strobe input is not driven low prior to time out.
