The 78M6618-IM/F is an octal power and energy measurement IC in 68 pin QFN package. It is a highly integrated IC for independent monitoring and measurement of up to eight single phase AC outlets. The device is ideal for metered power distribution units (PDUs) and rack enclosures for data centre as well as intelligent power strips and subpanels in grid friendly digital home with multiple host interface options, an integrated LCD driver and configurable I/Os. Scaled voltages from sensors are fed to Single Converter Technology that uses 21bit delta-sigma ADC, independent 32bit compute engine (CE) and digital temperature compensation and precision voltage references. The integrated MPU core and 128KB of flash memory provides a flexible means of configuration, post processing, data formatting, interfacing to host processor through UART or SPI interface displaying output data to an LCD or using DIO pins for intelligent relay control.
