The LTC6992CS6-2#TRMPBF is a voltage-controlled Pulse Width Modulator that is easy-to-use. It is part of the TimerBlox? family of versatile silicon timing devices. A single resistor, RSET, programs the LTC6992's internal master oscillator frequency. The output frequency is determined by this master oscillator and an internal frequency divider, NDIV, programmable to eight settings from 1 to 16384. The LTC6992-2 will never stop oscillating, regardless of the VMOD level. Internal clamping circuits limit its duty cycle to a 5% to 95% range (1% to 99% guaranteed). When power is first applied, the power-on reset (POR) circuit will initiate the start-up time, tSTART. The OUT pin is held low during this time. The simplest and most accurate method to program the LTC6992 is to use a single resistor, RSET, between the SET and GND pins.
