The DC1297B demonstration board features the LTM4612EV DC to DC μModule regulator. The LTM4612EV is a EN55022 class B certified high voltage input and output, 5A switching mode DC to DC power supply. Included in the IC package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductor and all support components. High switching frequency and an adaptive ontime current mode architecture enables a very fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability. The demonstration board accepts an input voltage from 5V to 36V and delivers a jumper programmable output voltage of 3.3V, 5V or 12V. The rated load current is 5A for 3.3V/5V, 3A for 12V VOUT. Current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT and thermal conditions. The DC1297B supports programming of the output ramp up and ramp down through the TRACK/SS pin. The output may be set to coincidentally or ratiometrically track to another voltage rail.
