GPS is short for Global Positioning System. GPS8100-S module is a new ARM based embedded GPS module based on JRC GPS receiver module G591 which allows to connect to Embest Devkit8000, Devkit8500D and SBC8530 boards to get position and altitude. The GPS8100-S module has a tiny patch board which can connect to Embest board through the UART (the serial port) from the expansion connector. It is a high sensitivity module with low power consumption.
