The ATMEGA1284P-AU is a low power CMOS 8bit microcontroller based on AVR enhanced RISC architecture in 44 pin TQFP package. This device achieves throughputs approaching 1MIPS per MHz by executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle. This allows system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed. The ATMEGA1284P-AU has internal calibrated RC oscillator, on-chip analogue comparator, programmable watchdog timer with separate on-chip oscillator, two 8bit timer/counter with separate pre-scaler and compare mode, two 16bit timer/counter with separate pre-scaler, real time counter with separate oscillator and six PWM channels.
