The USB-SDP-CABLEZ is an USB-to-Serial-I/O Interface Board. It can also be used by customers to communicate with supported Analog Devices components on their own board, using the appropriate Analog Devices evaluation software to facilitate in-system debugging and programming as required during product development. The USB-SDP-CABLEZ USB-to-serial-I/O interface is required to connect certain evaluation boards to a PC to allow control and monitoring by the evaluation software. When multiple evaluation kits are linked, only one serial I/O interface connector is required. The USB-SDP-CABLEZ provides a serial interface between a PC and an evaluation board. The USB-SDP-CABLEZ is based on an USB to serial engine that establishes connectivity to the PC through an USB 2.0 high speed port. The USB-SDP-CABLEZ has configurable I2C, SPI and GPIO communication lines that are controlled by the evaluation software for specific devices.
