The EVAL-AD5421SDZ is an evaluation board for 16bit, Serial input, Loop powered 4mA to 20mA DAC device AD5421SDZ. The evaluation board for the AD5421 contains a SDP-B connection and software allowing the AD5421 to be controlled from a SDP-B board (EVAL-SDP-CB1Z). The AD5421 pins are accessible at on board connectors for external connection. The AD5421 evaluation board is controlled via the PC's USB port in conjunction with Analog Device's system demonstration platform board. The SDP board allows the evaluation board to be controlled through the USB port of a Windows XP (SP2 or later) or Vista-based (32bit) PC using the AD5421 evaluation software. The AD5421 serial interface is also accessible at the test point connections on the board. The AD5421 includes a regulated voltage output that is used to power itself and other devices in the transmitter. The AD5421 can be used with standard HART FSK protocol communication circuitry without any degradation in specified performance.
