The 558 is a Scotchlok? self-stripping electrical Tap Connector with red PP (polypropylene) insulator, brass terminal and tinned brass fitted contact. It is capable of connecting a tap wire to a run wire, in the range of 22 to 16AWG solid or stranded copper. Electrically connects a (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire and insulates the connection. Wire tap splice terminal type and crimp termination.
